Located right on the Central/Eastern time zone line in Taylor county is 3T Farms. Roots run deep on the property with third generation farmer, Isaac Thompson. Isaac’s grandfather started 3T Farms which was then passed to his Dad, Eric. However, now that Isaac and his wife Korri have graduated college, they’ve taken over.
The main property has around 100 head of Hereford cattle situated on about 70 acres. 3T Farms concentrates on providing Hereford replacement heifers and herd bulls. Isaac also does custom work for other farmers in the area, while his wife Korri works for a dentist in town. For him it’s all about perspective. He prefers living the simple life and working for himself.

Although Isaac’s one of the main caretakers of the property, he expressed that “it’s a family business.” Without everyone’s help, nothing would get completed. Good times are had when the whole family is working cows or baling hay. Some of the best memories were when Isaac and his sister Kailey showed breeding cattle. One of the children’s proudest moments was winning the 2012 State Fair Hereford Bull Show.
Isaac is very appreciative of the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Ground Beef Program. He’s been selling into the program since April 2020. By doing so, he is able to maximize the value of his cattle. He is proud to support a program that advocates for the farmer and brings awareness to the consumer.

We try to raise the best cattle we can and work our butts off doing it."
