- Brown ground beef and add taco seasonings as indicated on the package.
- Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Add shortening and broth. Stir vigorously until well mixed.
- To prepare tamales, cut aluminum foil into 5 inch squares. Add a spoonful of masa to the middle of the foil and flatten almost to the edges. Add meat filling and roll.
- Steam for 20-30 minutes.
